We are pleased to introduce the Will WorkshopSM, an estate planning service for individuals whose estates call for a basic or intermediate level estate plan.* The Will WorkshopSM is ideal for individuals who have uncomplicated family, business, and financial situations, and who have total assets up to $1 Million (or married couples with combined assets up to $2 Million or more). Assets include cash, savings, life insurance death benefit, home equity, retirement accounts, investments, business interests, and any other assets. The WILL WorkshopSM is not designed for those with complex family, business, or financial or tax situations. We will be happy to meet separately with those who need more advanced planning. The WILL WorkshopSM was developed in response to requests from many people for information on how to have a Will prepared easily and affordably. A Will is one of the most important documents a person will ever sign, but according to a 2007 research study by Harris Interactive, approximately 55% of all adult Americans do not have Wills. There are three primary reasons for this:
The WILL WorkshopSM addresses and removes these impediments to the estate planning process by providing information on the estate planning process in a no-obligation seminar and offering interested participants a comprehensive estate plan at a low cost and in a accelerated time frame.** Information. Participants in the free one-hour WILL WorkshopSM seminar obtain comprehensive information on the estate planning process, and have the opportunity to have all their questions answered. They benefit from the expertise of a licensed estate planning attorney, and if desired, may pursue an individualized estate plan tailored to their specific needs and wishes. Cost. The one-hour seminar is FREE, with no obligation to purchase the estate planning service. The estate planning service is provided at a highly discounted cost that is approximately a 50% reduction from the standard cost of $1000 - $2,500 for comparable plans. Time. WILL WorkshopSM participants typically have a finalized estate plan in place within two weeks or within an agreed upon time frame. Each individual’s core estate plan will include a valid Minnesota Will, Power of Attorney, and Health Care Directive. What You Get. Compare the WILL WorkshopSM with LegalZoom, a popular legal document service.
*The WILL WorkshopSM is designed to provide a basic estate plan for individuals with total assets up to $1 Million or married couples with combined assets up to $2 Million (including cash, savings, life insurance death benefit, home equity, retirement accounts, investments, business interests, and any other assets). The WILL WorkshopSM also provides an intermediate level estate plan that incorporates necessary estate tax planning for married couples with combined assets over $2 million. Individuals or married couples with assets greater than these amounts, or who have complex family, business, or financial situations, should ask us about planning for more complex estates to address estate tax and other issues. **Contact us for information on the next WILL WorkshopSM seminar. If you are not able to attend a WILL WorkshopSM seminar but would like to prepare an estate plan through the WILL WorkshopSM program, please visit our website to obtain a questionnaire and schedule an appointment. |
